Colorado ASCD is proud to announce that the board collaborated to draft a proclamation for approval by Colorado Governor, Jared Polis declaring the month of April “Elevate Educator Month” in Colorado to acknowledge educators for their service, to lift them up, and to encourage community support for the contributions educators make to their communities, and that Governor Polis accepted and signed the proclamation!

The proclamation was presented to Colorado Educators attending the ASCD Conference at the “Elevate Educators” Reception, co-hosted with Colorado’s ISTE Affiliate Board, Innovative Education Colorado (InnEdCO). Colorado’s Commissioner of Education, Dr. Katy Anthes, led an interactive reading of the proclamation and shared words of support with all who attended the reception.

Numerous education companies provided financial support for the reception, and businesses donated door prizes valued at over $3000 in honor of our educators.
